Project Description
Client Needs
Entrance sign to be landscaped with four landscape packages created for new homeowners to choose from.
tellUs Project Proposal
This small community within Regatta Bay was designed to be experienced at the pedestrian walking level. Due to the slower speeds of cars and human's greater variety and detailing of each space was focused on. In order to hold interest of those using the spaces at such a small scale each planted area was looked into as a micro-scape fitting into the larger landscape. As with all narrow lots privacy between homes becomes one of the forefronts of the design intent. Each lot shares a common landscape between the two property lines. That said as each home develops it must accommodate and compliment the adjacent landscape plan. The plan was thus put together as a mosaic of plants which would all work well together regardless of which package and home was chosen.
Magnolia trees were set behind the community entrance sign to provide a backdrop to the signage and assure the home directly behind it would not be entirely visible from the entrance. This also helps prohibit receiving automobile headlight annoyances during dark hours. The front of the sign maintains a colorful, yet easily maintained aesthetic that allows the signage to be the spotlight.
The Finished Product
Landscape packages seamlessly joined together to compliment one another, regardless of when built or which package is chosen.
