Private boutique enclave community on the gulf, compliance with dune environmental protection
Landscape plan for: 3 homes, 1 covered parking lot with rooftop pool (pool designed by architect), 1 open green space, and all other community areas. Framed view to direct gulf access via boardwalk.
Based on the Mediterranean style architecture a matching landscape plan was inspired. Entering the site through a short allee was enhanced by the use of mature palms spaced closely together. The main boardwalk in the community was framed on either side by tall evergreen species to provide privacy to the residences on either side and create a focal point view to the Gulf of Mexico. Assimilating to the Mediterranean feel, plant species which provide texture, color and coastal breeze movements were chosen. The white coloring of the homes was a perfect backdrop to showcase the chosen foliage. Palms were used throughout to maintain the Mediterranean feel, as well as yucca, agave, succulents and ornamental grasses.
A Mediterranean style enclave on the Gulf was created to host the relaxing feel only those two coasts can achieve.
