The Gathering Church

Client Needs

In order to give a safe passageway for pedestrians entering, leaving and gathering in front of the church the hardscape needed to be revised to accommodate the flux of people coming and going. A place for people to gather in front of the church was desired.

As a donation to the church plans were created and executed as well as the majority of materials and manpower being donated. The limited outdoor space in front of the church needed to be refined in order to create a place to gather in front of the church. As the parking lot abuts the entrance a wider area needed to be designed to maintain a safe environment for the congregation to enter and exit the church. The focus of this project was less about landscape and more about creating a safe environment.
